Q&A: Answering questions about my small business
Hello everyone and welcome to the first installment of Q&A, a new series of blog posts that I thought would be a fun addition to the SewnbySabrina website.
In these blog posts I will be covering a wide range of questions, some that I would have liked answered when I started out, that help me reflect on my business journey up until now; and questions from you as well.
For any question submissions please head on over to the Contact section of the website and submit there.
My goals with this series are simple, to keep them casual and simple.
Yes, I will go into detail with my answers but I want to keep the the feeling that its like an open letter for me to reflect on my answer. That way I can hopefully start a conversation with you, maybe you are someone who is starting your own business, who is curious about how I run mine or maybe your someone who just happened to find my brand and small business and wants to get to know it better.
I want to clarify that I am not a business major and I never went to school for it, so I'm sure how much help I can be in the area of how to run your own business. I believe that everyone is different and we all have our unique small business journey.
My experience is not the same yours or the countless other small businesses out there working to make it. So lets not focus on comparing ourselves too much, and just fun.
We all share one thing, the dream that got us started down our own paths.
Whether right now we're that overnight success story that forever altered your lives, or we're the slow gradual climber with some bumps and setbacks that has forced you to alter your approach in the hopes of still making the dream come true. And that dream varies greatly from person to person too.
For some, its simply sharing our art or craft with people in hopes that it brings others the same joy as it has brought us. To be able help put food on the table, pay a bill or have some extra pocket money. To have something that we started on our kitchen tables reach a point where we can leave our full time jobs and the over-time to work on our business and live with the peace that we did it. Or to simply help others with our product or service that we offer.
We all have dreams and we're all trying to reach them, whatever they are and for whatever reasons; we're here.
