Q&A Have you thought of making apparel?

Hello everyone and welcome back to another instalment of Q&A. Today is a fun question, because it's something I'm working towards doing in 2025. 
Have I thought about making apparel? 

Yes I have! I have a little character named Kinder that I like to draw a lot and I thought it would be really cool to have him embroidered on a sweatshirt. Over the past year I have been looking into what kind of embroidery machine I would like to get and how much money I would have to put aside for the project. 

I think it would be really cool to have a wearable item with artwork that I created on it. Sweatshirts would be the thing that I start out with and I'll probably try my hand at making patches too, maybe later I'll move on to other things like hats or t-shirts. 

The world of apparel is something that is completely new to me so its one that I am still researching and to be honest I'm not even sure that it's something that I can even accomplish by the end of the year. However I am hopeful that I will at least make some steps towards it. 

I'll make another update on this question when I have more information and have really done my homework into it. 
Have you ever thought about making apparel for your small business, do you do it in house or is it a product that you out-source?
